sound objects

Some notes

this is my production in the field of sound objects for interior and body decoration.
most of these object was projected by myself with the two peolple I was working with: Mechi Cena and Jorge Martinez.
Our group was named FORMAT - architetture sonore - and finished in 1992

In the tuned matchbox the phosphorus is disposed in such a way that we can produce a the sound , the fundamental, the octave and the fifth (approximately).

The tubular luodspeaker was realized with a particular piezoelettric membrana which can diffuse the sound from the whole its surface (the normal loudspeaker diffuses the sound from a precise point), This determine a very particular effect.

The wind gong produces electronic sounds when the air around moves it.

The water drums must be situated in a little lake and sound through drops which fall on the membrane of the drum. They float on the water.

Loop light is a neon lamp which diffuse the sound recorded in a tape loop.

The Auricoli da rumore was a project I proposed to artists and students of design. they should project a nice object to defend us from the acoustic pollution.

The wind xilophone are still a project of a orchestra of tuned, sounding xilophones for big gardens or parks - these photos are not in hi definition.
